- Pre-batch Q&A with incoming Recursers. It strikes me that lots of people have the same hang ups about pair programming (but that fortunately, they all turn out to be unfounded).
- Coffee chat with a batchmate who I speak to all the time, but we have never actually matched for a coffee chat before.
- Another great coffee chat covering childhood education, melee, them patiently listening to me being an insufferable Dad.
- Niceties Accountability Group. There are a lot more folks to write nice things about this time round, and it’s emotionally draining, so I didn’t finish them today.
- Spent a bunch of time looking at monospace fonts for fun, and fiddling with the design of this site on a throwaway branch. I like Berkeley Mono and MD IO, though neither has programming ligatures. Not monospace, but MD Nichrome has a really lovely minisite.
- Another batch of awesome non-programming talks: feet and zero-drop shoes, and projector sewing, which has sent my brain in all sorts of fun generative directions.
No programming today! That’s OK, the final week is kind of a weird one, and I have two pairing sessions lined up tomorrow. I think I might also be settling into a kind of plan for after batch too, but I need to let it percolate.
Nearly forgot: published a small piece of writing: It’s ok for people to leave.
