RC Day 41 - Vitest

I finally feel like I’m firing on most, if not all, cylinders. Today:

  • Set my Weekly Intentions to:
    • publish a public npm module, no matter how small, and
    • publish at least one non-daily-log blog post, no matter how small.
  • Spent most of the rest of the day learning and configuring Vite with Vitest and fast-check. I think I found a really nice testing workflow for general TypeScript library dev. Vite is really pitched as frontend tooling, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with using it for not-specifically-frontend library dev? I have it set up as such here: testing-vite. Ping me if I’m doing something terrible, I guess?

I did not churn out hundreds of lines of code today, but I definitely felt at the edge of my abilities, and even expanded them a little.

Time to yoga.
