This is me eating my words. Instead of “narrowing my focus” to “frontend-y things,” I worked in Rust all day. To be fair, I worked with nannou — a creative coding framework — all day. That’s plausibly “frontend-y”?
- Worked through some of the nannou guide.
- Discovered this fantastic tutorial walking through the creation of Schotter-like artwork in four passes. Worked through it.
- Attended a group workshop on how to balance learning generously with accomplishing personal programming goals.
- Attended weekly creative coding — two hours of making things to a prompt and sharing them. With the prompt “Why, sir, cobble you.” (from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar). Eschewing any literary analysis, I modified the Schotter tutorial to generate cobble-like patterns.
- Kept the daily Execute Program habit.
Here’s some generative cobbles.
